International Association of Certified Church Administrators (IAOCCA) mission is to provide quality, affordable training to ministry assistants, board members, elders, and others serving in local churches. Our ministry is interdenominational and we serve churches of all races. Some of the training packets include denominational specific information to aid local ministry assistants to better serve their leadership. For over seventeen years we have provided training to ministry assistants, as well as board members, church members and those in church leadership roles.

Early Registration: $125.00 (Postmarked by April 11, 2009)

Late Registration: $135.00 (Postmarked after April 11, 2009)

IAOCCA Member Registration Fee: $100.00 (if registered by April 11, 2009)

IAOCCA Member Registration Fee: (if registering after April 11) $108.00

Note: Registered IAOCCA members' spouse can attend for $35.00 (there are very limited slots for spouses, you MUST register by February 20, or sooner if slots are filled, to guarantee at spouse rate - slots issued on first paid basis)

(If canceling by April 11, 2009 refund minus $20 administrative fee. Non-refundable if cancelled after April 11, 2009, but you may transfer registration to another person by submitting to us in writing the name of the person (can be via email), NLT August 1, 2009)

Speakers Include:

Dr. Valerie Melvin

Valerie served for 20½ years as a Music Educator. She recently ended an 8½ year assignment as Secretary of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly. On August 25, 2007, Dr. Melvin was installed as the Associate Regional Minister for Women’s Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in North Carolina. Elder Melvin received the M.Div. Degree in 2002 and her Th.M. Degree in 2005 from Duke University Divinity School, Durham, NC. Her primary goal has been to fulfill the call to pastoral ministry with a focus on Christian Education and Administration.

 

 

 

Bishop Steve Edmondson

Bishop Edmondson is the pastor of Middlesex Church of God in Middlesex, NC.  Prior to his pastorate, he was a full-time evangelist for 18 years during which time he pioneered and pastored Calvary Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church for one year. Pastor Edmondson is a native of North Carolina and attended Liberty University, Lynchburg VA, as well as the Berean Bible College in Springfield, MO. He is blessed to have his wife, Frances, and two sons. Bishop Edmondson has a powerful ministry of reconciliation and a vision for excellence in ministry.  

 

 

 

F. Dorsey Houston

Founder of Anointed to Protect and Serve Ministries, he has over 20 years of experience in the legal field, including a Security Field Training Officer and Multi-Unit Operations Manager  and over 10 years serving as a Pastor's Assistant and Church Security Auxiliary. Mr. Houston has worked on and supervised security details for Gospel Artists such as: Dottie Peoples, The Clark Sisters, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammon, Minister Bryon Cage  and more.


 

Dr. Pamela Smith

Pamela is a former paralegal, court reporter, church administrator, and Christian Education Director. She and her husband Kenny oversee Equipping Ministries and manage Turning Point Publications, a publishing company. Pamela has worked with churches of various denominations. She has assisted in setting up offices, installing and training staff on financial software, training new secretaries, etc. Her broad background in church work, corporate work, and government, including being an office coordinator for a politician, and a grants writer and manager, enables her to bring seasoned experience and knowledge to your church staff. Pamela and Kenny have been interviewed by Christianity Today International and they are included in one of its Building Church Leaders Online Study Guide. Pamela has authored a number of books including, "The Effective Church Administrator - Tools to Survive Even the Toughest Day", "Ministering in the Spirit of an Armorbearer", "I'm Saved, Now What", "Giving Birth to Your Purpose", "Stopping the DreamKillers, and her newly released books, "Church Administration - Putting the Pieces Together" and "Soaring as a Leader".

Livingston

Ophelia W. Livingston

A church consultant specializing in church risk management and church turnaround and revitalization.  She is the editor of Church Risk Management newsletter, CRMS2 Guide for Churches and she has written extensively on risk management and policy writing.  Livingston has a MBA from Salem International University, her MSIS from University of Fairfax. Livingston has numerous industry certifications in the field of IT security and policy management. She is a Certified Church Consultant, Professional Life Coach and is the CEO of OWL Risk Management Consulting, LLC.
